Jamie Reid is a Principal of Finity Consulting, and manages Finity’s health insurance practice. He’s the Appointed Actuary of a number of insurers in Australia and New Zealand. Jamie is a member of the Actuaries Institute Health Practice Committee, and a past convenor of that group.

Bronwyn is the Senior Actuary at Teachers Health and leads the business intelligence unit. She has worked with the private health insurance industry in Australia since 1998 and enjoys the constant challenges the industry provides.

Richard Hurley works for the Commonwealth Department of Health where he manages a team of data analysts.

The team has a research and development focus and aims to derive new insights from Health’s extensive big data collections, including Medicare, Pharmaceutical Benefits, hospitals collections and various disease registries.

Typical projects last between 3-12 months and cover linked data and applying advanced analytics techniques that are not commonly used in the Department, such as clustering, prediction, and machine learning algorithms. 

Richard is also a qualified actuary who worked for various insurance companies here and in the UK prior to joining the public service. Richard enjoys applying the rigour of actuarial analysis methods to complex and technically challenging analytics projects that derive real benefit to Australians.
Raymond Yeow  Raymond Yeow

Raymond serves as a Surveyor for the NSW HETI's Prevocational Training Program for Junior Medical Officers, member of the Actuaries Institute’s Wider Health committee, and is on the Institute’s organising committee for the Future of Health Seminar 2017 and 2018. 


He is also a Captain in the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps (Reserves)

Raymond holds a BA (Macquarie University), MBBS (University of Sydney), MBA (UNSW) and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (Australia).

Ignatius is a health actuary at Deloitte.  Over more than well over a decade he has helped a variety of clients from Australian health funds to both the Singapore and Australian governments.  In particular, he has dedicated a significant part of his career to advising the Singapore government on their national health insurance scheme, MediShield Life, the highlight of which has been its conversion to a compulsory scheme in 2015.  Ignatius is a strong believer in the actuarial profession and the role actuaries can bring to policy discussions such as in health.
